Jazek Glinka, President of “Polpharma”, second in size pharmaceutical company in Poland, stated that they intend to acquire “Nizhfarm” (Nizhny Novgorod) occupying the 4th place in the list of the largest Russian pharmaceutical companies. “Nizhfarm” manufacturing products according to GMP standards, in 2003 had the turnover of USD47 million. In 2002 the “Polpharma” sales amounted to about USD210 million, includingUSD11 million in Russia. “Polpharma” supplies to Russia 13 items of drugs, hereupon, more than half of sales fall on trichopol.
