According to “RMBC” (Russia) consultants sales in Russian pharmaceutical market in 2003 amounted to USD3450 million, i.e. were 19% higher than in 2002. Import of medicaments in 2003 took the lead over the domestic production almost twice according to the growth rates (36%). In terms of imports volume the leaders are European pharmaceutical companies: “Aventis Pharma” (France) – USD116 million, “Gedeon Richter Ltd.”(Hungary) – USD84 million, “Sanofi-Synthelabo” (France) – USD82 million, “Berlin-Chemie/Menarini Pharma G.m.b.H”(Germany) – USD81 million, “Novo Nordisk” (Denmark) – USD79 million.
