According to Mr.Miroshnikov, Deputy Director of the Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry of the Russian Academy of Sciences, new domestic biotechnological medicaments occupy less than 3% of the domestic market of medicaments. More than 90% of biotechnological and gene-engineering preparations consumption in Russia is covered by imports.
