“Global Ring Network for Advanced Application Development” (“GLORIAD”) – a new computer network which will directly link scientific centers in Chicago, Moscow, Siberia, Beijing and Hong-Kong. The speed of data exchange within the network will grow several times up to 10 gigabites per second. Creation of the global network circular became possible due to completion of laying the fiber-optic cable between Russia and China in 2003.
