| The Russian State Duma (Parliament) adopted the law on creation in Russia of two types of special economic zones (SEZ): industrial-production and technical-implementation. The SEZ territories will enjoy a simplified procedure of granting entry visas, special land rent rates and free customs zone conditions. On top of that a resident of said areas will have a series of tax privileges. The government allots in 2006 about USD600 million for investments in the creation of infrastructure in said SEZ. |
