| According to the project elaborated by “Russian Railways” it will be possible to bring the cargoes from China to the USA avoiding the Pacific Ocean, by railway from Vladivoistok to Murmansk. The project stipulates construction of a new container terminal in Murmansk and completion of electrification of the railway from St.Petersburg to Murmansk. Implementation of the project will permit to transport by railway up to 2 million containers per year, reducing twice the time of cargo delivery in comparison with the sea route. |
