| According to Mr. Sklyar, General director, “Russian TV and Radio Broadcasting Systems”, due to the increase of state investments in modernization of Russian Tele and radio broadcasting the wide scale transition of Russia to digital TV may take place by 2012 already, i.e. three years ahead of schedule. Investments for replacement and renewal of all transmitters will amount to more than USD 1,5 billion. Equipment for the transmitters will be manufactured by Russian-French consortium “Almaz-Antey”-“Tales”. |
