| According to expert estimations the Russian insulin market in 2005 amounted to about USD 185 million. Annually sales increase by 25-30%. Hereupon, 98% of the demand is covered on account of imports. “Novo Nordisk” (50% of the Russian market), “Eli Lilly” (25%) and “SanofiAventis”(21%) are the largest insulin suppliers to Russia. Two domestic manufacturers of insulin “Bryntsalov-A” and “Institute of Bio-organic Chemistry” occupy only 0,6% of the Russian market. |
