Documents which are necessary for filing a new case with the Russian PTO: Non-convention application: 1. Name and address of an applicant and author(s); 2. Text of application including specification, claims, abstract, drawings (if any) in English, German or French; 3. Power of Attorney*. N.B. Non-convention application can be filed in any time. Convention application: 1. Name and address of an applicant and author(s); 2. Text of application including specification, claims, abstract, drawings (if any) in English, German or French; 3. Certified Copy of the Priority Document(s) to be filed within 16 months from the priority date; 4. Power of Attorney*. N.B. Convention application should be filed within 12 months from the priority date. PCT application: 1. PCT publication in English, German or French; 2. PCT materials including International Search Report, International Preliminary Examination Report – for a case under PCT Chapter II; 3. Power of Attorney*. N.B. For a PCT application under Chapter I and II the prescribed term for entering the Russian National Phase is 31 months from the priority date. * Power of Attorney shall be issued by the Applicant and signed by an authorized person indicating his name and position in the company. The date and place of the signature shall be indicated as well. No notarization or legalization is required.
