Evgenya Smolnikova, Lawyer, Gorodissky & Partners (Moscow), will give a presentation “Cooperation of trademark owner with Customs in protection of the IP exclusive right” at the Seminar “Maintenance of IP rights protection during customs proceedings” held by Ural Customs office. The Seminar was attended by the officers of the head and field Urals Customs offices and also of the Customs of cities – Ekaterinburg, Koltsovo, Nizhny Tagil, Chelyabinsk, Magnotigorsk, Kurgan, Tyumen and territories of Khanty-Mansiysk and Yamalo-Nenetsk.

Vadim Shipilov, Trademark Attorney (Gorodissky & Partners, Moscow), attended the Annual Training IP Seminar held by Boehmert & Boehmert. Topical issues on peculiarities of registration and protection of trade marks in Germany and EU were discussed. The Seminar gathered attendees from many countries of Europe and Asia.

According to the rating of the business-weekly "Delovoi Kvartal" (Business Quarter) in 2009 Gorodissky & Partners (Ekaterinburg) was the 4^th in the list of legal firms of the city and the most efficient of them (earnings per capita a year). In 2008 Gorodissky & Partners were the 9^th.

Dr.Valery Djermakian, Counsel, Gorodissky & Partners (Moscow) gave a presentation on “Japanese shock absorbers and Russian utility models: lessons of contradiction” at the 12th Annual Scientific and Practical Conference “St.Petersburg collegial readings – 2010” held by the St.Petersburg Collegiums of Patent Attorneys.

Tatiana Pogrebinskaya, Counsel, Gorodissky & Partners (Moscow) took part in the Ceremony of Award of the winners of the 3rd Contest of students papers “Road to Profession” held by the “Corporate Lawyer” magazine (Russia), Legal faculty of the Moscow Lomonosov State University and international and Russian law firms, Gorodissky & Partners among them in section “IP legal protection”. Gorodissky & Partners prize was awarded to Marina Sergeeva, student of the Moscow Lomonosov State University, for the paper “Civil law regulations of know-how”.

Vladimir Mescheryakov, Counsel, Gorodissky & Partners (Moscow), attended a Session of Presidium of High Commercial Court of the Russian Federation. In the focus of discussion was a block of bills concerning establishing Patent Court in Russia (IPR Court).

Gorodissky & Partners in cooperation with JETRO successfully held the 6th annual seminar on the Russian IP legislation and enforcement. Special attention was paid to the patent and copyright, litigation, administrative enforcement, parallel import etc. Partners Vladimir Biriulin, Yury Kuznetsov, Nikolay Bogdanov, and Dr. Eugeny Alexandrov, Senior Lawyer, were warmly met by the attendees and answered numerous questions.

Vladimir Mescheryakov, Counsel, Gorodissky & Partners (Moscow), gave a presentation “Russian litigation practice of hearing IP cases and prospects of legislation development”, and Mikhail Trofymenko, Lawyer, Gorodissky & Partners (Kiev) gave presentation on “"Actual issues of court practice in Ukraine concerning cancellation actions of trademarks according to the Article 6 septies of Paris Convention" at the XIV International conference “Protection of intellectual property rights” held by the Ministry of Economy of Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the Crimean Republican Center of reform support.

Gorodissky & Partners (Kiev) held IP Seminar “IP Protection in Ukraine” where patent/trademark attorneys and lawyers of Moscow and Kiev offices – Ilya Novoseltsev, Oleg Zhuchevich, Konstantin Sikachin, Natalia Stepanova as well as Ukrainian PTO officers, judges, forensic experts, officials of the Ukrainian law firms and trade and manufacturing companies shared their views on the topic issues of trademark protection, peculiarities of IP forensic examination, domain names protection, etc.
