“Gorodissky and Partners” are chosen as the winner of the “Corporate INTL Magazine” practice for “Best Law Firm in Russia for IP legal practice 2009”

Gorodissky & Partners Annual corporate meeting was held on December 25, 2009. In the official part of the event Valery Medvedev, Managing Partner, spoke about the main and successful results and the most essential firm’s events in 2009.

Vladimir Mescheriakov, Counsel (Gorodissky & Partners, Moscow), was one of the speakers at the Roundtable “Legal aspects of IP protection of Russian rights’ holders under world economic globalization” held by the Committee of economic policy, business and property of the High Chamber of the Russian Parliament.

Yury Kuznetsov, Partner, gave a presentation “Intellectual Property Rights in Russia” for Korean businessmen at the seminar organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Moscow. The Korean Ambassador Mr. Kyu-hyung Lee greeted the attendees who showed great interest in the issues discussed.

4 years running Gorodissky & Partners keeps participating in the charity programme “Books for Gifts”. This year 10 more weak-eyed children will receive from the firm illustrated embossed books as New Year gifts.

Ilya Svetlov, Patent Agent, Gorodissky & Partners (St.Petersburg) was among the invited guests at the 1st National Young “Breakthrough” Award ceremony opened by the Russian President Dmitry Medvedev.  Ilya Svetlov represented young scientists of the St.Petersburg Polytechnic University.

Dr. Sergey Vasiliev, Lawyer, and Dr. Nikolay Karagodin, IP Valuer (both of Gorodissky & Partners, Moscow) gave speeches “How to dispose of intellectual property rights. License and other agreements” and “IP valuation in agreements” at the International Congress “Intellectual Property” within the First International Forum on Intellectual Property “EXPOPRIORITY-2009”.

Attorneys and lawyers of Gorodissky & Partners headed by Vladimir Biriulin, Partner (Gorodissky & Partners, Moscow), participated in The World Leaders International IP Awards 2009 held by Informa. Gorodissky & Partners was the only Russian IP law firm reached the final and nominated in two categories – “Law firm of the Year 2009” and “Private Practice Trademark Excellence/Litigation 2009”.
