Dr. VALERY DJERMAKIAN
Counsel

Graduated from the Moscow Textile Institute as an engineer, then – from the Central Institute of Intellectual property (Moscow). Got Ph.D. in textile technology. 
Started his carrier in the Russian PTO as an examiner, Chief of formal examination Department, then – Deputy Director. He was a member of a number of Working Committees of WIPO and Eurasion Patent Organization (EAPO), drafted legislative documents and methodical regulations on intellectual property. Awarded with a Decoration of Honor of the Russian PTO.
Valery Djermakian is an author of more than 200 publications, including books and manuals, also is a frequent speaker at IP conferences and seminars. He is a member of the Russian Engineering Academy and the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences.
In 2005 joined “Gorodissky & Partners”.
His main focus is legal expertise of IP cases of the Chamber for Patent Disputes, arbitration courts and administrative bodies, drafting legislative projects relating to IP matters. Dr.Djermakian continues to give presentations and lectures.
Member of AIPPI.
