Graduated from Moscow Mining Institute in 1972 as a mining engineer, then - from Central Institute of Intellectual Property (Moscow).
From 1972 till 2000 worked in the Russian PTO as an examiner, Deputy Chief of Legal Department, Chairman of Appeal Chamber, State-Secretary - Senior Vice- President of the Russian Patent Office. Was a Deputy Chairman of Legal Commission of the Russian PTO.
In October 2000 joined "Gorodissky & Partners".
Has a wide experience in prosecution of patents, consideration of objections, appeals and protests. Participated in drafting the acting Patent Law, Trademark Law, Law on Secret Inventions and other Russian IP legal acts, as well as international and intergovernmental agreements and conventions relating to intellectual property, in which Russia is a member-state. Member of AIPPI.
Counsels clients on russian IP legislation, international IP treaties and conventions, infringement of IPRs, unfair competition. He is a principal litigater. Delivers speeches at different conferences and seminars. Has a great number of publications in IP and industrial magazines.
