Dr. DMITRY KLIMENKO

Dr. Dmitry Klimenko graduated from the Lomonosov Moscow State University, Department of Physics (specialization in biophysics) in 1993.
In 1993-1995 he worked as a research assistant at the Engelhardt Institute of Molecular Biology of the Russian Academy of Sciences (Moscow) in the laboratory of X-ray crystallography. 
In 1995-1999 he received his graduate training at the School of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology of the University of Leeds (England) and obtained a PhD degree. His PhD thesis was entitled “Structural studies of Staphylococcal plasmid replication initiator proteins”.
In 2000-2007 Dr. Klimenko received his post-doctoral training at Yale University (USA), Department of Biophysics and Molecular Biology, first as Howard Hughes Medical Institute postdoctoral associate, then as associate research scientist. His research concerned X-ray structural and biochemical studies of the DNA replication machinery.
At the end of 2007 Dr Klimenko returned to Russia and in January of 2008 joined Gorodissky & Partners.
He specializes in patenting inventions in the fields of biotechnology, biochemistry, molecular biology and medicine.
Dr Klimenko is fluent in English and Spanish.
His interests include music, painting, foreign languages.
