Open Day in the Federal Service for Supervision of Communications, Information Technology, and Mass Media (Roscomnadzor)
31 July 2018Sergey Medvedev, PhD, LLM, Senior Lawyer, and Stanislav Rumyantsev, PhD, Senior Lawyer (both from Gorodissky & Partners, Moscow), have attended the event of Roscomnadzor, dedicated to the Open Day for personal data operators, related to the anniversary of the National Law No. 152-FZ "On Personal Data".
The event was opened by Alexander Pankov, the Deputy Head of Roskomnadzor, who spoke about the agency's position in relation to a new EU Regulation on Data Protection (GDPR) and outlined recommendations for the compliance with the basic requirements of the GDPR. Anna Yakovleva, Deputy Head of the Department for the Control and Supervision of the Compliance with Personal Data Processing explained how personal data operators could prevent privacy infringement, and Alfiya Gafurova, Deputy Head of the Department for Control and Protection of Rights of Personal Data Subjects, identified the main problems in the field of personal data protection that citizens usually encounter. The event ended with a vivid discussion in which representatives of Roskomnadzor were asked numerous questions regarding the processing of personal data, assignment of DPO, obtaining of consent of the personal data subjects, personal data enforcement and other important aspects. The event of Roskomnadzor brought together about 100 people.
