Events/ 6th Annual Training Seminar

On September 16-18, 2009 “Gorodissky & Partners” is hosting the 6^th Annual Seminar «Obtaining and enforcement of intellectual property rights in Russia».

This year the seminar is coupled with the 50th Anniversary of the firm and Moscow headquarters of Gorodissky & Partners is chosen for the venue.

The seminar is designed for IP professionals and will allow attendees to consider the latest trends in the Russian IP system after the first year of new legislation implementation and enforcement practice. The main topics that will be under discussion:

- Strategies of patent protection in Russia;
- Peculiarities of trademark proceedings in Russia;
- News in industrial design practice;
- Conflict cases in and out of the Russian courts;
- Various approaches to combat counterfeiting and piracy in Russia;
- Patent Goblins in Russia;
- Parallel import case law, etc.

Among the speakers there will be leading experts of “Gorodissky & Partners” and invited outstanding international speakers.

The seminar attendees and accompanying persons will also enjoy a social program with rich choices from sightseeing tours to laic events during the most attractive season in Moscow. Reception devoted to the 50th Anniversary of the firm will close the program.

PRE-SEMINAR TOUR Sergiyev Posad (Zagorsk)
A whole-day excursion to the town and monastery of the 14th century named after the famous saint Sergiy Radonezhskiy. Situated about 90 km. from Moscow - Troitse-Sergiyeva Lavra is one of the most important spiritual centers of Russian Church. It’s also famous for its marvelous collection of religious works of art. Moscow is a heart of Russia and the Kremlin is a heart of Moscow. Since the 12th century it has been a home place of the Russian sovereigns and nowadays the Administration of the Russian President is still there. Inside its walls a remarkable ensemble of cathedrals, chambers and palaces is hidden. In the Armoury Chamber there is an exposition of royal belongings and ambassadorial gifts. The Diamond Fund houses a fine collection of jewelry, some of them very famous.
