“Gorodissky & Partners” will host 8^th Annual Seminar «Obtaining and enforcement of intellectual property rights in Russia» in Moscow, on September 5-7, 2012

The seminar program has General Sessions – “Patents”, “Trademarks” and “IP Rights Protection and Enforcement” focusing on the latest trends in the Russian IP system:
- Strategies of obtaining patents by the Russian and Eurasian routes;
- Filing stage know-how by using PPH with the Russian PTO;
- Patent examination procedures and appealing in the Russian PTO;
- Peculiarities of trademark proceedings;
- Non-traditional trademarks;
- Well-known trademarks in Russia and Ukraine;
- Protection of trade dress
- Parallel import
- Notable IP battles in the Russian courts
- IP transactions and security interests, etc.

and Special Workshops - “Patents in Pharma area” and “IP in Eurasian Custom Union” covering:
- Pharma patents under Eurasian and National systems
- Biotech inventions, invalidation and appeal procedures for pharma patents,
- Pharma and agrochemicals patent extensions;
- Agreement on common governing principles in the sphere of IP rights protection and Customs Union (Russia, Belorussia and Kazakhstan).

Among the seminar speakers – patent/trademark attorneys and IP lawyers of Gorodissky & Partners and invited IP experts from Belorussia and Kazakhstan.

The official language of the seminar is English.

The registration fee covers materials, tea/coffee breaks, luncheons, Welcome Cocktail & Closing Reception.

Cancellation of registration, accommodation and excursions/tours received before August 13, 2012 will be a subject to a cancellation charge of Euro 100. No refunds will be made for cancellation received after August 13, 2012

The number of guests is limited. Registration will be on basis “first come-first served”.

For attendees and accompanying persons we have arranged their accommodation at special room rates at Hilton Leningradskaya Moscow Hotel.

Rates are given per room per night, including breakfast and excluding VAT (18%).
Exchange rates in February, 2012:  1 Euro – about 40 Rubles, 1 USD – about 30 Rubles.

VISAS

All attendees should apply for a visa for coming to Russia. The Organizing Committee provides a visa support letter for a tourist visa.

WEATHER

The beginning of September tends to have quite warm days with a daytime temperature of about 16- 18°C.

Suzdal is ancient Russian city. A few centuries ago (before the Tatar invasion in the 13th century) it was independent kingdom. At present it is the center of tourists’ attention as it managed to preserve not only a few old churches and monasteries, quite outstanding in all respects, but also the Russian spirit.

POST-FORUM TOUR

The Kremlin - The Armoury Chamber - The Diamond Fund

The Kremlin is a heart of Moscow. Since the 12th century it has been a home place of the Russian sovereigns and nowadays the Administration of the Russian President is still there. Inside its walls a remarkable ensemble of cathedrals, chambers and palaces is hidden.
In the Armoury Chamber there is an exposition of royal belongings and ambassadorial gifts.
The Diamond Fund houses a fine collection of jewelry, some of them very famous.
