Sergey Medvedev, PhD, LLM, Senior lawyer (Gorodissky & Partners, Moscow), spoke on the topic «IP Transactions: Legal and Practical Issues» at the seminar «The Use of IP Rights: Reform of Chapter IV of the Russian Civil Code and Court Practice».

The seminar was hosted by IRSOT — the educational institution of modern technologies — for lawyers, tax consultants and accountants. The presentation covered both — general and specific — aspects of legal regulation and practice of conclusion of different IP agreements in Russia. Sergey also highlighted the major amendments and innovations regarding the disposal of exclusive (IP) rights and registration of the underlying agreements.

The presentation was supported by numerous cases from the court practice, including from the speakerпїЅs practice. The seminar was attended by about 20 participants from various business sectors, including from the legal and IT areas, and about 40 people who distantly participated at the seminar. The presentation was of great interest to the attendees, led to many questions and ended with a vivid discussion on the topic.
