The Law No 193-ФЗ of June 28, 2022 allows registration of trademarks by private persons not being individual entrepreneurs. On the other hand, termination of the status of individual entrepreneur does not entail cancellation of his trademarks. Nor is it necessary that the heir has a status of individual entrepreneur. The law will come in force on June 29, 2023

Now, the law includes production designer in the list of the authors because in some cases he makes an even greater input in the work than other authors. His inclusion in the list of authors will endow him with more rights for earning compensation for his work.

The Law No 213-ФЗ dated June 28, 2022 allows import of certain goods included in the list prepared by the Ministry of Industry and Trade. The list includes the goods that may be in short supply. The list is revised from time to time depending on the situation on the market.

On June 11, 2022 Russia adopted Law 176-Ф3. It amends Part IV of the Civil Code in that it brings IP law in conformity with  the Marrakesh Agreement facilitating access of blind and visually impaired people to published works.

Starting July 1, 2022, the amendments to the Regulations on Fees of the Eurasian Patent Organization, approved by the EAPO Administrative Council at the fortieth (twelfth extraordinary) meeting, come into effect.
