New fees for the Russian PTO services were published on March 15, 2012

It becomes apparent that the Russian PTO services has been amended and the fees have been increased, including those for search of registered trademarks and applied for registration that are identical and similar to a word trademark in «Trademarks of the Russian Federation computer-aided system».

For example, the one-month search for one word trademark in one International Class now costs 4720 roubles (about $160) instead of the former fee of 3000 roubles (about $100). A surcharge of 1180 roubles (about $40) (in comparison with 600 roubles ($20) before) is added with respect to each International Class over one.

If you wish to have the search conducted twice as fast (within 14 calendar days), the fees are doubled (9449 roubles/formerly 6000 roubles — over $300/$200). If you request a yet faster search (within 5 business days), the service will cost you three times more (14160 roubles/formerly 9000 roubles — about $500/$300).
