Gorodissky & Partners branch office in Vladivostok is launched

The Far East is an important economic region of Russia with multilateral trade and economic ties with the Southeast Asian countries — China, Japan, South Korea and others. On the initiative and under the personal control of the Russia’s President “territories of the advanced development” and “free port Vladivostok” were set. All these measures are aimed at improving innovative climate, creating investment attractiveness of the region and securing advance development of the regional economics. The modern development of the Far East provides the local business with great opportunities for producing and bringing to the Russian and international markets new and competitive products.

On October 27, 2015 Gorodissky & Partners branch office in Vladivostok was officially set up. It is the 10th Gorodissky office in Russia.

The Opening program included:

  • Business lunch where Mr. Yury Kuznetsov, Partner, Patent Attorney (Gorodissky & Partners, Moscow) highlighted the role of intellectual property in modern economics including import substitution; co-existence of resource and innovative economics; mission of a modern IP law firm. CEOs of the major regional companies, representatives of business, science and mass-media attended the Lunch.
  • Interactive seminar on complex legal IP protection with a substantial list of speakers — Yury Kuznetsov, Partner, Patent Attorney, Alexey Kratiuk, Partner, Trademark Attorney, Sergey Medvedev PhD, LL.M, Senior Lawyer, Valery Narezhny, PhD., Counsel (all Gorodissky & Partners, Moscow) and Nikolay Ptitsyn, Regional director, Masashi Kurose, Japan Patent Attorney (both Gorodissky & Partners, Vladivostok) . Situational cases provided possibilities of legal protection of different IP subject-matters, IP rights disposal and licensing. The Seminar was attended by IP specialists, businessmen and academics.
