International Conference «Intellectual Property as a Tool for Business and Economic Growth in the EAEU Countries», Bishkek (Kyrgyzstan)

The conference will address current issues related to the legal protection of intellectual property, its commercialization features and mechanisms for ensuring rights in the EAEU countries. Special attention will be given to the following topics:

• Trademark protection,
• Combating violations in the online environment,
• Regulation of marketplace operations,
• Issues of parallel import,
• Compensation recovery and cross-border protection.

A separate session will focus on the interaction between artificial intelligence and intellectual property. Discussions will include the protection of algorithms, software, data, and know-how, the patentability of AI-based solutions, copyright for generated results, choosing the legal protection regime, risks associated with using open-source components and datasets, as well as formalizing rights for their further protection and commercialization.

Leading experts in law and patenting from EAEU countries, representatives of international organizations (WIPO, EAPO, LES), as well as experts from the Eurasian Patent Office and relevant authorities of EAEU member states are invited to participate.
