Vladimir Bashkirov, Patent Search Expert, (Gorodissky & Partners, Moscow) attended annual Patent Information Conference, held by the European Patent Office (EPO) in co-operation with the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland. Patent analysis, patent visualisation and the role of patent information in the strategy decision-making process had pride of place in the programme, as well as the future trends in patent searching.

The Forum gathered more 60 participants from many (several European) countries. The speakers from the BRICS countries gave a cross section of IP issues comparing the handling of particular problems in all five countries.
