XIII St. Petersburg International Innovation Forum

Dmitry Yakovlev, Russian and Eurasian Patent Attorney (Gorodissky & Partners, Saint-Petersburg), made a presentation “Strategies for legal protection of intellectual property” at the XIII St. Petersburg International Innovation Forum, organized by the Government of St. Petersburg together with the Committees for Industrial Policy, Innovation and Trade of St. Petersburg.

In his speech, Dmitry Yakovlev highlighted the following topics: foreign patenting strategies available to Russian applicants; PCT system, its advantages and features; utility model as an alternative to the invention and other ways to optimize patenting costs; he also told about recent tendencies and analyzed the current situation with patent activity of Russian applicants abroad.

Dmitry's speech led to many questions from the audience and ended with a discussion.
